OpenSource Discussion Groups for LGBTQ Individuals and Allies

All students are invited to these fun and confidential gatherings to meet students from across campus and talk about this issues and questions that concern them. Contact the LGBTQ Programming Intern, Sarah Bouchat, with questions or for more information at: sbouchat@uchicago.edu. Meetings for the 2007-2008 school year began on Monday October 8th and will continue til the end of the academic year. Meetings for Winter and Spring Quarters will be located in the new center at 5710 S. Woodlawn. Keep checking the website for schedule and location updates.

Rainbow Graduation

Thursday June 5, 2008 at 5.00 PM

Queers & Associates hosted the first ever University of Chicago Rainbow Graduation during the 2008 LGBTQ BBQ. We celebrated seniors and graduate students who have impacted the campus queer community as individuals, allies, and advocates. The 15 graduates received fabulous rainbow tassels and booklets filled with messages from individuals whose lives they touched. Thanks to all who participated, and Congratulations, class of 2008!

April 13-26th, 2008

Join the LGBTQ Programming Office and Queers & Associates as we cosponsor the first ever PRIDE festival on the University of Chicago campus. We will be sponsoring two weeks of exciting events focusing on queer visibility: speakers, performances, panels, study breaks, a day of service, Day of Silence, Night of Noise, and, as always, Genderfuck. Stay tuned for a calendar of events.
