Chicago Free Press publishes weekly and "is aimed at an urban gay and lesbian audience. The largest and best-read gay publication in the Midwest, CFP covers gay life today--with news, analysis, commentary, health, business, auto, travel, real estate, entertainment, photography and much more." Available around campus and in street bins.
Windy City Times, "The Weekly Voice of the Gay, Lesbian, Bi & Trans Community, Publishers of Nightlines Weekly, Blacklines, and En La Vida." Their website also includes many upcoming events for the LGBTQ community and, for those over 21, a bar guide.
Bookstores:
Women and Children First Books is one of the largest feminist bookstores in the country, stocking more than 30,000 books by and about women, children's books for all ages, and the best of queer fiction and non-fiction. They also carry music, videos, magazines, and pride products, and have frequent author readings. Located at 5233 N. Clark St..
